Recruiting a welder, fitter or wiring operator of foreign origin already living in France — most often a Ukrainian newcomer — who understands the work order, the safety instruction and the team leader: that is what French for Specific Purposes (FOS) makes possible. We start from your real work situations — workshop, quality, traceability, team relations — and build the programme around them.
Since 2022, Jobs Around has trained more than 200 trainees for the aeronautics, naval and electrical industries, for companies such as Airbus, Daher, GE, ITEC, Pack'R or subcontractors of Chantiers de l'Atlantique, through Synergie, Manpower, Inserim (Humando), the Actual group and other partners.
The goal is an operational level on the job: understanding spoken instructions and safety rules, communicating with the team and management (CEFR A2+ to B1+ depending on the position), and handling the essential workplace writing — traceability, anomaly reporting. The target level is defined with you from the actual requirements of the position.
What we offer.
Tailor-made programme by trade
Initial assessment of each trainee (CEFR), A2+ or B1+ targets depending on entry level and the requirements of the position. Above all, the real work situations of the job — identified with you — structure the programme and its materials: vocabulary, reading work orders and procedures, safety instructions, workplace writing (traceability, anomaly reporting).
Before hiring or on the job
Intensive pre-hire training (up to 399 h, POEI-funded), or an in-service module, on site, in our premises or remotely. Pedagogical continuity possible between job start and technical training.
Specialised teaching team
Qualified FLE trainers, experienced in professional French for industry. Interpreting and translation of your technical procedures available.
Funding the training.
Jobs Around is a Qualiopi-certified training organisation, a prerequisite for public and joint funding.
- POEI France Travail — pre-hire training, up to 450 h, covered by France Travail for a candidate you commit to recruit (permanent contract, fixed-term ≥ 6 months or CDII). Co-funding possible by your partner temp agency.
- OPCO — skills development plan for employees already on the payroll.

FLE/FOS training for industry: how it works
French for Specific Purposes (FOS) is French-as-a-foreign-language training focused on a trade. Unlike a general French course, every session works on the situations the employee actually meets: understanding a spoken instruction in workshop noise, reading an assembly work order, filling in a traceability sheet, reporting an anomaly, talking with the team leader and the tutor.
Target levels and duration
After an initial assessment on the CEFR scale, we set a realistic goal: A2+ for a beginner (A1+), B1+ for someone with basics (A2+). An intensive course (up to 399 hours) usually yields a full level; speaking progresses faster than writing, which we then consolidate with a remote module between job start and technical training.
POEI, OPCO funding and Qualiopi
The POEI scheme lets France Travail fund up to 450 hours of training before hiring a job seeker. For employees in post, your sector's OPCO funds training under the skills development plan. This funding requires a Qualiopi-certified organisation, which Jobs Around is.
Nantes, Saint-Nazaire and beyond
Based in Nantes, we operate across the Loire-Atlantique industrial basin (Saint-Nazaire, Montoir-de-Bretagne, Bouguenais) and anywhere in mainland France where our partner companies recruit — Brittany, Hauts-de-France, Île-de-France and Occitanie (the Toulouse aeronautics basin) in particular. Training takes place on site, in our premises or remotely.
